DJ & Shera

DJ & Shera have been friends of mine for several years. It has been so fun to watch them date and fall in love. Now they are getting married! Due to another wedding, I don't get to shoot their big day, but I was honored to shoot their engagement photos for them! I don't think I have ever laughed so hard during a shoot! They are a fun couple that knows how to have fun together. DJ & Shera: Congrats! I know you will have fun living life together. I'm honored to call you my friends.

Logan-Class of 2010

I did Logan's senior photos last week. It was the perfect day for outdoor shots. Since he plays football for his high school and is attending Murray State in the fall, we did some football pictures on MSU's football field. We found several other good locations for more outdoor pictures, then did a few indoor too! Here are a few of my faves:

Craig & Susan

Craig & Susan had a BEAUTIFUL wedding! They are the sweetest couple and they are so in love. They made it easy to photograph their day because their love and affection for one another was so evident. The wedding was held at The Thoroughbred Center in Lexington, KY on a perfect March afternoon. It was an interesting day though...the day of the UK vs. WV tournament game. Why so interesting? Susan attended UK and Craig attended WV!! The entire room at the reception was split the whole night! Craig even put the garter around a WV football to throw to the single guys. But as the last picture shows...Susan wanted the last say so she surprised Craig with a UK pin attached to the garter! Here is a sneak peak to their amazing day!

Haylee & Hunter

I got to hang out with this family for an afternoon and it was so much fun! We did some family shots and then some shots of the kids. Hunter is the newest addition to the family, so it was really all about him! Dad is a firefighter, so it was fun to be creative with some of his equipment!

Irene & Isaac

I had the chance to shoot photos for our new friends Jeremy & Shannon Iwaszkowiec. They have 2 beautiful children; Irene is 18 months and Isaac is their newest addition. He was 2 weeks old for his first photo shoot! Take a look!

Bo & Susan

Bo and Susan are such a fun couple! I went to college with both of them, so it is neat to see how God brought them together years later. Susan is a fellow photography friend, so it was an honor to do some engagement photos for her and let them have fun in front of the camera! We spent some time on Murray's campus and then ventured down town to our favorite vintage brick building. It was a pretty cold day, but I don't think it shows in the pics! We had so much fun! I had a hard time choosing ones for my blog, so here are 12 of my faves:

Matt & Jen

Matt & Jen are two of our closest friends! They have been married for 2 1/2 years and wanted some new, updated pictures. I brought my husband along to entertain behind me as I shot so we would make sure to get a natural laugh out of Matt. It was such a fun shoot! They recently bought a house down the road from us, so we hopped in the car and drove out to the middle of no where and found some beautiful locations. Heath & Leslie

Congrats to Heath & Leslie! They are celebrating 5 years of marriage! It's also been 5 years since they've had pictures taken, so we did a photo shoot! We go way back: we were aquaintances in high school through mutual friends. Then Leslie began doing my hair in college and continued for 4 years. (and I miss her now!) Heath & Leslie are currently living in Louisville where Heath is in medical school. They drove in for the weekend to spend time with their families and a little time with me :) It was the PERFECT day to shoot...the sky was blue, the leaves were colorful, and the temperature was great. We got some beautiful shots, but how can you not with such an attractive couple?!? Heath & Leslie...congrats to 5 years of marriage and I pray for more joy and happiness in the years to come!

Craig & Susan drove in from Lexington to do their engagement session in Paducah. It was a beautiful, fall day. We had fun in downtown Paducah and at the park. They even brought their dogs and school sweatshirts for some pics to show their personalities! They are a fun and sweet couple. I can't wait for their wedding in Lexington this coming March!

Sarah & Warren

Sarah & Warren are getting married in June, but are currently doing a long distance engagement while Warren is in grad school. They both attended Murray State together, so we spent time walking around campus finding beautiful places to take photos. We also went the park and took some of them in their Jeep. Jacob & Erica

I had two engagements sessions in Louisville last weekend. Meet couple #1: Jacob & Erica. We spent the afternoon walking around downtown Louisville. It was so fun finding different spots for pictures. We found many unique doors, benches, trees, and walls. Then as we were wrapping up, we spotted a really old vintage fire truck. Since Erica's dad use to be a fire fighter, we asked if we could take some pictures on it! It made for a fun shoot!

I love October weddings! Although it was a little cold outside, the wedding was beautiful...full of fall colors! The ceremony and reception was at the home of the bride and groom, which made for a unique setting. After the ceremony, we got on a bus and went to a cool, funky barn to take some pics. Last weekend, I spent the whole day with Jon and Kari, the beautiful couple. Their wedding was gorgeous and everything they hoped for. It was a special day for the couple as they started their family together, with their daughter Aven. They are a precious family and I was so honored to be a part of their day!

What a fun wedding! Ben and Tiffany got married on June 20. They are a fun and crazy couple with such a sweet love for one another. It was a blessing to shoot Tiff's big day, a friend since 7th grade :) I shot their wedding along with Susan Stinson Photography. It was great to work with her for the day! Bridal Show

I did my first Bridal show! I set up a booth at the Murray Bridal Show in the RSEC on Saturday and it was a huge success! I talked with many brides, gave out a lot of info, and booked 5 weddings! YAY! We hung several of my wedding and engagment photos from a set that we use at church. It looked like a huge shadowbox! We also had monitors on either table with my website on one and a slideshow of photos on the other. The picture doesn't look the best (it's with my casio point-and-shoot), but in my opinion, the booth looked great. We had a bowl of apples and a vase of daisies (my fave) with some green fabric as well. If you know me well, you know my signature color is green :) Thanks to Brett's ideas and help along with Lindsey, Krystia, and Kayce's help at the booth...it was a great day!

Welcome to my blog! Thanks for checking me out!

Although I decided to start a blog, I am not very good at keeping these things up to date. Since I don't put all my work on my website, I thought this would be a good place to share other photography that I do and get feedback from you.

I just did some pictures for the Journey. It is a series starting in February called "Comfortable." Hopefully these photos represent comfortable to you :)
